Inauguration of the classroom building of Tu Quan Primary School

On the morning of September 10, the Korean NGO Global Vision in coordination with the Coordination Board of Foreign Capital Projects of Tuyen Quang province organized the Inauguration Ceremony of the classroom building of Tu Quan Primary School, Yen Son commune, sponsored by KT&G Group through the Korean Global Vision Organization.

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the project.

Attending the inauguration ceremony were comrade Hoang Gia Long, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of KT&G Group, Global Vision Korea Organization; leaders of some departments, branches and sectors of the province; leaders of Yen Son commune, Tu Quan Primary School.

The project started construction on February 18, 2025 with two main items: Building a new 2-storey classroom building with 10 classrooms and upgrading and renovating a 2-storey classroom building with 8 classrooms, with a total value of nearly 8.3 billion VND.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Gia Long, on behalf of the province, respectfully thanked KT&G Group and the Korean NGO Global Vision for helping to build a spacious and modern 2-storey classroom building with 10 classrooms for Tu Quan Primary School.

Highly appreciated the coordination of the Steering Committee of Foreign Capital Projects of Tuyen Quang province, the project investor, the design, construction and supervision units, helping the project ensure progress, quality and aesthetics. Putting the project into use contributes to helping teachers and students of Tu Quan Primary School have conditions to improve the quality of teaching and learning.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Gia Long presented flowers and gifts to thank the project sponsor.

He assigned the Board of Directors of the school and Yen Son commune to receive, maintain, and operate the project to serve local primary education well. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that over the past year, Tuyen Quang province has always focused on promoting cooperation with localities, organizations, and Korean enterprises, especially Korean enterprises that are investing and doing business effectively in the province. This is truly a good signal for bilateral development between the two countries with similar cultures.

Mr. Young Jin Min, Chairman of the KT&G Group Social Welfare Fund Council, Head of the delegation attending the project inauguration ceremony, affirmed that the Group was very excited to sponsor, complete and put into use the 2-storey classroom building with 10 classrooms for Tu Quan Primary School, helping 570 students, of which nearly 70% are ethnic minority students of the school, to have good conditions to enter the new school year.

Delegates visited the school's newly invested library.

Currently, the relationship between Vietnam and Korea is very good, including the relationship between Tuyen Quang province and Korean localities, organizations and enterprises. To foster the friendship, KT&G Group and Korean NGO Global Vision have been, are and will actively contribute to social security projects, especially education and training projects in Tuyen Quang province.
