The Hanoi Children's Palace is one of Hanoi's key projects invested in during the 2020-2025 period, aiming to become a major political activity center for children in the capital and the country. It is even more significant that the project was completed and inaugurated on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).
On September 21st, the Hanoi People's Committee held a ceremony to inaugurate the Hanoi Children's Palace (in My Dinh 2, Nam Tu Liem district) and unveiled a plaque designating it as a city-level project to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi.
Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen stated that for many generations of children in the capital, the Hanoi Children's Palace is a familiar and beloved destination, becoming a "beautiful childhood memory," a place that nurtures artistic talents of the capital and the whole country. Respecting its historical value, and to meet the needs of development and integration, Hanoi City has decided to invest in the construction of the Hanoi Children's Palace project in Nam Tu Liem district with equipment invested according to modern standards and regulations.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee expressed confidence that, with its new look, modern and spacious architecture, close to nature, and the use of many high-quality smart devices, the Hanoi Children's Palace will play a key role as a cultural and sports center, meeting the needs of children for activities, learning, playing, sports competitions, and physical training, thereby creating a favorable environment for nurturing and developing future talents for the city. At the same time, it will continue to innovate, making breakthroughs in quality, meeting social needs, contributing to the comprehensive education of the capital's young generation, and truly deserving the title of "a place that helps dreams take flight and childhood soar."
The Hanoi Children's Palace project covers a total area of nearly 40,000 m², with a construction floor area of approximately 10,280 m², including facilities such as: an 800-seat theater, a 200-seat 3D-4D cinema, a 500-seat gymnasium, a 10-lane swimming pool, classrooms and a library, an astronomical tower, and an administrative and office block…
The project has a total investment of over 1.376 billion VND. The highlight of the project is Zone B, featuring an 18-story astronomical tower, 68 meters high, which houses a system of binoculars and telescopes.
On this occasion, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Ha Minh Hai presented Certificates of Commendation from the Hanoi People's Committee to individuals who have achieved outstanding results in directing and implementing the Hanoi Children's Palace construction project.
To date, Hanoi has nearly 400 cultural and sports facilities, with all 30 districts and towns having Cultural, Information and Sports Centers, totaling nearly 90 buildings, and almost 90% of residential areas having community activity points.
The system of cultural and sports institutions at all levels is receiving focused investment and development in both quality and scale, linked to rapid and sustainable socio-economic development, contributing to improving the local cultural landscape as well as the quality of life and the needs for enjoying material and spiritual values of the people of Hanoi.
