Poet Xuan Dieu Memorial House
Xuan Dieu was one of the founders of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Association (now the Vietnam Journalists Association ) and a prominent figure in modern Vietnamese poetry. He left behind approximately 450 love poems, numerous short stories, essays, and literary criticisms. Xuan Dieu is known as a romantic lyrical poet, "the newest poet among the new poets," "the King of love poetry," a highly influential figure in the New Poetry movement, and an active cultural and social activist.
To commemorate him, the People's Committee of Tuy Phuoc District built the Xuan Dieu Memorial House on the site of the poet's maternal grandparents' house in Tung Gian village, which has been in operation since 1995. After nearly 29 years of use, the memorial house deteriorated, so the People's Committee of Tuy Phuoc District invested in building a new, more spacious and beautiful memorial house on the old site, creating a destination for tourists visiting Tuy Phuoc.
The delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the event.
After more than 8 months of construction, from April 2024 to the present, the new Xuân Diệu Memorial House has been completed. The memorial house was rebuilt on the site of the old one, and the grounds were expanded to a total area of 720 m² . This includes a garden and internal walkways covering 550 m² , a surrounding fence and gate, and other features.
The project has a total investment of over 9.8 billion VND from the district's state budget and other legal sources, with the Tuy Phuoc District Investment, Construction and Land Development Project Management Board as the investor.
Delegates offered incense in remembrance of the poet Xuan Dieu.
On this occasion, representatives from Can Loc District presented artifacts belonging to the poet Xuan Dieu for display at the memorial house.
In December 2010, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province issued a decision classifying the Xuan Dieu Memorial House in Go Boi (Tuy Phuoc) as a provincial-level historical relic.
