When technology sets the quality standard for every glass of milk

Vinamilk is the only dairy company in Southeast Asia to be named thanks to a pair of breakthrough technologies: ultra-microfiltration technology and 4.0 milk quality control system.

The Asian Technology Excellence Awards (ATEA) is an annual award organized by the Asian Business Review Magazine, honoring groundbreaking technology innovations that are shaping the future of Asia.

The award recognizes technology projects that deliver clear, measurable results, address pressing challenges, and drive real progress across a range of sectors.

In the Digital Transformation - Food Production category, Vinamilk is the only dairy company in Southeast Asia to be named thanks to its breakthrough technology duo: ultra-microfiltration technology and 4.0 milk quality control system.

According to Asian Business Review, this is a step forward to help Vinamilk become the first enterprise in Southeast Asia to fully digitize both the production process and raw material procurement.

In particular, ultrafiltration technology - a technology pioneered by Vinamilk for large-scale application in Southeast Asia - is a direct response to the trend of protein-rich fresh milk that is "reigning" globally.

This is an advanced milk processing technology from Europe, allowing the extraction of protein, calcium and lactose at the molecular level, thereby restructuring the nutritional composition in an optimal direction, suitable for the increasingly personalized needs of consumers.

Thanks to this technology, although processed entirely from fresh milk, without adding whey protein, each 250ml box of Vinamilk Green Farm High Protein still contains up to 12.5g of natural protein - 65% higher than traditional sterilized fresh milk, 30% richer in calcium and 60% less fat. In particular, the physical filter also helps remove lactose, expanding the ability to access nutrients from milk for people with sensitive digestive systems.

The product is considered a superior nutritional solution for those who are actively taking care of their health through their daily diet, such as: adults who need physical nourishment, pregnant women, people who exercise regularly, and children in the development stage.

“Vinamilk Green Farm High Protein is our affirmation of our product development strategy towards the future - where nutrition is not only good for health, but also 'tailored' to suit the needs, tastes and lifestyles of each person,” emphasized Mr. Nguyen Quang Tri - Marketing Executive Director of Vinamilk.

At the same time, Vinamilk deployed a highly sensitive milk quality testing system that allows real-time quality testing at every critical point.

Instead of changing the entire process, the system applies a targeted improvement model, identifying and addressing quality problems at specific points, while maintaining system efficiency.

This ensures high quality raw milk - a prerequisite for advanced downstream processing such as microfiltration technology.

“These innovations are even more significant given Vinamilk’s scale and global influence,” according to Asian Business Review. Specifically, Vinamilk is currently the largest milk producer in Southeast Asia, operating 15 farms that meet international standards such as Global SLP; Organic EU. The company is managing more than 130,000 dairy cows, with a capacity to supply more than 1.1 million liters of fresh milk per day.

Vinamilk's honor at ATEA 2025 not only affirms the technological innovation capacity of the regional dairy giant, but also reveals the "secret" behind the impressive series of international achievements of Vinamilk Green Farm Cao Dam products.

Specifically, the technology duo has helped Vinamilk Green Farm Cao Dam win a series of world- leading awards for delicious taste, safety and purity such as the Gold Award - the highest certification from Monde Selection (Belgium), Superior Taste Award (Belgium), Purity Award - the most rigorous award for safety and purity from the US.

It can be said that technology is not only a production tool - but has become a special "ingredient", contributing to redefining nutritional standards in the modern dairy industry.
