Currently, the rate of urban residents in Ha Tinh using clean water is about 83.4%, with an average water supply of 120 liters/person/day and night.

Recently, Ha Tinh has focused on expanding and upgrading pipelines to better serve the clean water needs of people in urban areas.

Implementing the orientation for urban and industrial water supply development in Ha Tinh province in the period of 2017 - 2025, the Department of Construction has reviewed and adjusted the water supply planning content in the construction planning project, supplementing contents related to climate change and ensuring safe water supply in urban areas and industrial parks. In particular, paying attention and focusing on upgrading water supply plants, investing in expanding the water supply network pipeline system to residential areas.

Up to now, the whole province has 3 units assigned to manage, operate and exploit urban water supply works with 15 factories, with a total capacity of 120,500 ^m3 /day and night. The average water supply per capita is 120 liters/person/day and night. The rate of urban residents using clean water is about 83.4%, while 16.6% of the population has not used clean water.

In the coming time, the Department of Construction of Ha Tinh will continue to call for social investment in developing the water supply system; expanding the pipeline network; creating favorable conditions for investors to build water plants. At the same time, focusing on implementing projects to upgrade a number of existing water supply works to meet the needs of clean water that meets national standards of urban residents, contributing to completing the criteria for building civilized urban areas and developing the economy and society.
