Commencement of the project to restore and embellish the relic of Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee base

On the morning of September 26th, in Duyen Hai ward, the Provincial People's Committee held the groundbreaking ceremony (Phase I) for the project: Restoration and preservation of the Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee's base. This project is in celebration of the First Congress of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were: Mr. Ngo Chi Cuong - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Vinh Long province; Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Lam Minh Dang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and leaders of provincial departments and agencies.

Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, gave the order to commence construction of the project.

The project aims to restore, preserve, and promote the traditional values of historical relics; to serve political tasks and the needs of learning and research about the glorious revolutionary historical traditions of the Party Committee and people of the province, contributing to the education of revolutionary traditions and ideals for the younger generation.

The project, with a total investment of 140 billion VND and covering an area of 10.2 hectares, will be implemented in two phases. Phase 1 includes the construction of items such as: the entrance gate to the historical site; guardhouse; historical site name sign; cryptography office; meeting hall; bomb shelter; administrative and typing shed, etc., and is expected to be completed by the end of September 2026.

Giving the order to commence construction, Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, affirmed: The Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee's base has become a "red address" in terms of history, culture, and revolutionary traditions. The restoration and preservation of the relic aims to meet the requirements of serving political tasks, the wishes and aspirations of the Party Committee, government, and people of Tra Vinh and Vinh Long provinces; and at the same time, it is an important condition for serving research, study, and education on patriotic traditions, especially for the younger generation.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Quynh Thien, requested the Provincial Civil and Industrial Project Management Board (the investor) to be thorough and decisive in directing and regularly supervising and inspecting the construction units; to coordinate closely with departments, agencies, and local authorities to promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles during the implementation process. The contractor should mobilize maximum resources, machinery, equipment, and construction materials to accelerate progress; comply with requirements regarding quality, labor safety, fire prevention and control, and ensure the living conditions of the people in the area.

Departments and agencies will assist in completing investment and construction procedures. Local authorities will coordinate to ensure security, order, and safety for people and vehicles throughout the construction period.
