Construction of 50 houses to support poor households in Quang Nam started

(QNO) - With a total support value of 5 billion VND, Quang Nam Police in coordination with sponsors will start building 50 houses to support poor households in Phuoc Son, Dong Giang and Bac Tra My.

On the morning of April 28, in Phuoc Duc commune (Phuoc Son district), Quang Nam Provincial Police coordinated with Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade ( VietinBank ) Quang Nam branch to organize a groundbreaking ceremony to build 50 houses to support poor households in Phuoc Son, Dong Giang and Bac Tra My districts.

The ceremony was attended by leaders of the Provincial Police, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and representatives of VietinBank Quang Nam branch and Phuoc Son district.

Responding to the movement "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", officers and soldiers of Quang Nam Provincial Police contributed more than 6 billion VND and established a Youth Volunteer Team of 32 members to survey, construct and repair 40 houses for households in the three districts above.

The police of various units and localities also actively supported the construction of gratitude houses for families with revolutionary contributions and poor households. Continuing the movement, the provincial police coordinated with VietinBank Quang Nam branch to build 50 new houses for disadvantaged households, with the first groundbreaking ceremony at the house of Mrs. Tran Thi Thin (village 2, Phuoc Duc commune).

The houses are expected to be completed before August 19, 2025, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Traditional Day.

This activity has profound humanitarian significance, contributing to caring for people's lives, strengthening the great national unity bloc, and at the same time aiming at important events such as the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, the 80th anniversary of National Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection.

At the ceremony, emulation clusters under the provincial police presented 40 gifts to policy families and disadvantaged households in Phuoc Duc commune, Phuoc Son district.
