The 110kV overhead line was built from the existing underground cable connection tower to the shore on the Ha Tien side to the incident location, with 4 towers. The project was successfully energized in a short time, promptly restoring power supply to serve the production and business activities of people and enterprises on the island after the incident on November 29.


After restoring power supply to Phu Quoc Special Zone, An Giang Electricity Company continues to coordinate with relevant units to carry out the next steps to repair the damaged cable section, returning it to its original state.
Previously, at 1:15 p.m. on November 29, an incident occurred on the 110kV Ha Tien - 172 Phu Quoc line, causing a power outage at the 110kV Phu Quoc transformer station, affecting the power supply to the Phu Quoc special economic zone. Accordingly, Thuan Thanh KG Construction Company was constructing in the safety corridor of the 110kV Ha Tien - Phu Quoc underground cable line on the Ha Tien coast. The pile driving of the steel floor was the cause of the incident, causing damage to the 110kV underground cable supplying power to the Phu Quoc special economic zone.


After the incident occurred, to maintain power supply and safe operation of the power system, An Giang Electricity Company urgently implemented a plan to provide priority power from the 110/22kV Nam Phu Quoc Station via the 22kV medium voltage grid for priority customer groups; mobilized large customers with self-operated generators to supply power to take advantage of the remaining capacity to serve domestic customers...
EVNSPC has mobilized 20 mobile diesel generators from member Power Companies, with a total capacity of 3.5MW, to transport to Phu Quoc to increase power supply...
