In October and November, the Central region suffered consecutive floods, storms, landslides, and historic inundations, causing great loss of life and property. In Hue City alone, floods caused 5 houses to collapse completely, 9 houses to be damaged (of which Khe Tre commune had 3 houses collapsed, 7 houses damaged; Loc An commune had 2 houses collapsed and 2 houses damaged).
In Khe Tre, there are 91 households living in high-risk landslide areas that need to be urgently relocated and resettled.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony in Khe Tre commune, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh emphasized that the implementation of the "Quang Trung Campaign" is a key, urgent and meaningful political task. "We are not only rebuilding houses with bricks, stones and cement, but also rebuilding trust, lighting up hope and affirming the spirit of 'Leaving no one behind'."
The Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee requested the Department of Construction to support house models suitable to local conditions, ensuring the '3 hard' standards: hard foundation, hard frame and hard roof. The Khe Tre Commune People's Committee must urgently handle land and construction procedures for the people in the spirit of "solving any problems".
