Unlimited books to participate in 'journalists' book week'

Journalist Tran Trong Dung shared: "Our goal is to introduce to the public and even the team of journalists good and attractive works by colleagues. Through the perspective of journalists, the works expressed in books are more diverse, attractive and surprising to readers."

The event contributes to honoring journalists who have published books.

Mr. Dung also said that the Journalists' Book Week not only contributes to spreading reading culture to everyone but also honors talented journalists who have published books.

Mr. Le Hoang said that the Journalists' Book Week taking place for a week, right on the occasion of the anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, is interesting. "The Journalists' Book Week shows the versatility of journalists, and is an opportunity for journalists to express themselves," he said.

The Journalists' Book Week was launched to celebrate the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023), and to respond to the Ministry of Information and Communications' campaign on Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day. This event also aims to develop a reading culture among journalists in Ho Chi Minh City.

No limit on books to participate in the 3rd edition of the book week of the photographer.

Currently, the total number of books on display is about 128.

Journalists' Book Week includes activities to display and introduce books from newspapers and journalists, bringing to life pages that are full of the breath of current events, closely linked to the flow of current events from the living material of journalists themselves.

The program will take place from June 17 to June 22 at Nguyen Van Binh Book Street (District 1, HCMC).

According to the Organizing Committee, there are currently about 128 books on display, including 66 books from press agencies and 62 books from Thanh Nien newspaper.

Participating units include the newspapers Nguoi Lao Dong, Nhan Dan, Sai Gon Giai Phong, Quan Doi Nhan Dan, Tuoi Tre, Ho Chi Minh City Police, People's Police, Lao Dong, Vietnamese Women, Ho Chi Minh City Women, Saigon Businessmen, Saigon Economics , Business Forum, Giac Ngo, Ho Chi Minh City People's Radio (VOH), Ho Chi Minh City Literature and Arts, People's Court Magazine, Urban People Magazine...

The organizers said that in order to meet the needs of press agencies and reporters nationwide, the event will change the way of participating in the book exhibition as follows: Accepting books from newspapers and journalists nationwide. There is no limit on the year of publication of the book. There is no limit on the number of books from press agencies and reporters.

The time to receive books will last until June 14. The place to receive books is the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association.
