According to China Daily , the Shanghai L+ Snow resort is located in Lingang, about a 1.5-hour drive from downtown Shanghai.

With a total area of 98,828 square meters, Shanghai L+ Snow was recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's largest indoor ski resort during its inauguration ceremony on September 6. This title previously belonged to a project in Harbin city, China.

With a vertical drop of nearly 60m, Shanghai L+ Snow boasts three professional ski slopes, totaling approximately 1,200m in length. Additionally, it features a large snow recreation area, offering visitors a variety of activities and experiences.

The resort also fully integrates water parks, restaurants, shopping malls and hotels, creating opportunities to promote Shanghai's ice and snow entertainment industry.

The resort began selling tickets for its trial operation in August. As of September 1, Shanghai L+ Snow had welcomed nearly 100,000 visitors.

Along with the Shanghai Astronomy Museum and other cultural attractions , the Shanghai L+ Snow area is predicted to become an attractive tourist destination for international visitors, especially after China's 144-hour visa-free policy implemented earlier this year.

The resort's opening has been postponed several times compared to the original schedule in order to enhance safety measures.

According to the international trade consultancy Daxue Consulting, China's ice and snow industry has been booming since the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
