Food safety inspection for Mid-Autumn Festival 2023

According to the plan, from September 5 to September 30, the province's interdisciplinary food safety inspection teams will conduct surprise inspections of food production and trading establishments serving the Mid-Autumn Festival in districts and cities.

Accordingly, at the provincial level, 3 provincial interdisciplinary inspection teams were established, including: Inspection Team No. 1 chaired by the Department of Food Safety and Hygiene, inspecting Nho Quan district, Gia Vien district, Hoa Lu district; Inspection Team No. 2 chaired by the Department of Industry and Trade Inspectorate, inspecting Ninh Binh city, Yen Mo district; Inspection Team No. 3 chaired by the Department of Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Product Quality Management, inspecting Kim Son district, Yen Khanh district, Tam Diep city.

At district and commune levels, organize interdisciplinary inspection teams to conduct inspections at food establishments according to plan and coordinate with provincial inspection teams when conducting inspections in localities.

The provincial Food Safety Interdisciplinary Inspection Teams conduct direct inspections at moon cake production and trading establishments in the district and city regarding the legal administrative procedures of the establishments: business registration certificates, certificates of establishments meeting food hygiene conditions, etc.

In addition, the Delegations also inspected labeling; equipment, tools, production and processing procedures; food transportation and preservation; origin, provenance, and expiry date of raw materials, additives, and food ingredients...

Through actual inspections at a number of food production and trading establishments serving the Mid-Autumn Festival, it was found that all production and trading establishments complied with legal regulations and did not violate food hygiene regulations.

For some establishments, the Inspection Team also reminded them to update the complete records of raw material origin, arrange unused items neatly and cleanly, and specify the expiration date on the cake for consumers to know.

The inspection aims to ensure food safety in the production, processing, trading, import and use of food; prevent food poisoning; control and handle the production and trading of fake and poor-quality food to protect the rights and health of consumers during the Mid-Autumn Festival 2023.

For violations of food safety, promptly and strictly handle and publicize the name of the facility, address, and type of violating product on mass media, protecting the rights and health of consumers during the Mid-Autumn Festival 2023.
