On September 12, a source from SGGP reporter said that Mr. Ho Huu Nghi, Chief Inspector of Tien Giang province, signed the Conclusion of re-inspection of the 2023 Inspection Conclusion of Cai Be District Inspectorate. At the same time, he recommended the Chairman of Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee to handle a number of Cai Be district leaders who committed violations.
Through inspection, it was discovered that the amount of money to be recovered from the autonomous public service source of the Cai Be District Market and Public Service Management Board and the budget revenue source had been misappropriated, causing a loss of more than 3.2 billion VND.
Cai Be District Market Management Board and Public Services have paid more than 2.7 billion VND for repairs, with the remaining amount being more than 430 million VND.
The Inspectorate of Tien Giang province concluded that through the re-inspection of the 2023 Inspection Conclusion of the Chief Inspector of Cai Be district, it discovered shortcomings in the incomplete inspection of revenue and expenditure contents; and the inspection conclusion was not publicly disclosed on the information portal. No responsibility was assigned or recommendations were made for handling Mr. Bui Phat Huy, Deputy Director of the Market Management Board; Mr. Nguyen Van Viet, Head of the District Finance and Planning Department; Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung, specialist of the District Finance and Planning Department, in charge of the Market Management Board.
Regarding the incident, the Chief Inspector of Tien Giang province recommended that the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tien Giang province direct: Cai Be District People's Committee to organize a meeting in the Standing Committee of Cai Be District People's Committee to rectify, manage, operate, strengthen leadership, direction, and inspect the performance of tasks of agencies and units for Mr. Tran Van Ut, former Chairman of Cai Be District People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Nha, Chairman of Cai Be District People's Committee and Ms. Pham Thi Tai, Vice Chairman of Cai Be District People's Committee, who lacked inspection in leadership and direction, leading to shortcomings at the Market Management Board.
The re-inspection conclusion also pointed out that a number of other individuals had many shortcomings and violations.
The case has been transferred by the Chief Inspector of Tien Giang province to the investigation agency for handling according to regulations.
