At the program, leaders of the two hospitals introduced an overview of professional activities, human resources, and equipment.

Lao Cai General Hospital No. 2 and Lai Chau General Hospital cooperate on the basis of: Complying with legal regulations; ensuring voluntariness, equality, mutual benefit; practical and effective cooperation, suitable to the capacity and actual conditions of each side; closely linked with the political and professional tasks and development orientation of the health sector of the two provinces.

According to the signed agreement, the two hospitals will cooperate in many fields such as: diagnostic imaging, emergency resuscitation, surgery, obstetrics and pediatrics, internal medicine, infection control, clinical pharmacy and hospital quality management. Accordingly, the two units will coordinate to implement: cooperation in training and human resource development; cooperation in expertise and technology transfer; cooperation in scientific research and innovation; cooperation in quality management, patient safety and hospital improvement.

The cooperation period is within 5 years, from October 27, 2025 to October 27, 2030

Speaking at the program, Doctor CKII Nguyen Thi Huong - Deputy Director of Lai Chau Department of Health affirmed: This cooperation not only helps to improve the professional capacity of the two units but also contributes to improving the quality of health care for people in the region, reducing the burden on upper-level hospitals and creating conditions for people to access high-quality medical services right in the locality. The cooperation program will open up many development opportunities, especially in the field of human resource training and application of information technology in management and treatment.

The signing ceremony of professional cooperation between the two hospitals is an important step, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and mutual support between medical facilities in the Northern mountainous region, towards the common goal of improving the quality of medical examination and treatment; health care for people, contributing to the sustainable development of the health sector of the two provinces in particular and the region in general.
