Signing of memorandum of cooperation in organic agricultural production

This is the content organized by the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center on the afternoon of May 29 with Hai Duong International Joint Stock Company (Company). Thereby, to implement the "Organic Agriculture Development Project for the period 2021-2030 in Binh Thuan province" and raise awareness for producers and consumers about organic agriculture.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of a number of departments, offices, specialized units and a number of agricultural production cooperatives in the province. The ceremony took place in person and online.

According to the signed content, the two units will cooperate to promote awareness for producers and consumers about organic agriculture and organic products, organize field conferences and seminars, and build models of organic agriculture. At the same time, they will advise, support, transfer scientific and technical advances, and perfect organic and circular crop production processes. Develop sustainable agriculture with the Company's organic fertilizers.

On the side of Binh Thuan Agricultural Extension Center, it is responsible for implementing propaganda, training, conferences and seminars on organic agricultural production. At the same time, coordinate with the Company to develop organic production processes and models and organize replication. Support the Company in researching and accessing policies on investment support in organic agricultural production and related policies and mechanisms on supporting businesses according to regulations.

Hai Duong International Joint Stock Company in collaboration with the Agricultural Extension Center provides training on the transfer of technical advances and organic farming techniques to farmers. At the same time, it builds processes and models for organic agricultural production. Along with that, it provides certified organic fertilizers at survey points to build processes and models for farmers to participate in the province according to production linkage contracts associated with product consumption signed according to regulations. Coordinate to promote and build brands for organic products of Binh Thuan province.

According to MSc. Ngo Thai Son - Deputy Director in charge of the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center, organic production is currently an inevitable trend for agricultural production. It is time for us to move towards an efficient, high-quality production, improved value chain and improved living environment. In addition, maintaining and replicating organic production models, following the organic direction, building models of ecological agricultural farm economic development, experiences associated with tourism development, both promoting and creating on-site output for agricultural products, and creating new, attractive and environmentally friendly tourism products.

Through this signing ceremony, the Binh Thuan agricultural extension system continues to strongly promote organic agriculture and organic products to producers and consumers. At the same time, consulting on the transfer of scientific and technical advances, perfecting crop production processes and the use of quality organic fertilizers, building demonstrations of pilot agricultural models in the direction of organic and circular agriculture associated with product consumption to achieve 6 uniformities: uniform inputs, uniform production processes, uniform product quality and design, uniform agricultural product prices, uniform farmers' profits, and uniform agricultural product consumers' enjoyment.

This Memorandum of Cooperation was signed to promote the development of organic agricultural production in Binh Thuan province, contributing to the implementation of Decision No. 802/QD-UBND/2023 of the Provincial People's Committee on the development of organic agriculture and Resolution No. 05/NQ-TU of the Provincial Party Committee on the development of modern, sustainable, high-value-added agriculture.
