People and vehicles with a payload of less than 5 tons, along with passenger cars with fewer than 16 seats, are allowed to resume traffic on the section from Km 262+400 to Km 262+530 of D'ran Pass.
This is the area affected by the landslide on October 29th, covering approximately 3,500 square meters, with about 60,000 cubic meters of soil and rocks at risk of further movement. This forced authorities to close the pass to reduce the load and address the safety risks.
The Department of Construction emphasized that vehicles weighing 5 tons or more and passenger vehicles with 16 seats or more, when traveling between the former Lam Dong and former Ninh Thuan areas, must use National Highway 27 or Provincial Road 729 instead of going through the D'ran Pass.
Although the road is now open to traffic, construction units are still continuing to repair damage along the route. Therefore, the Department of Construction advises people to limit travel at night, especially during heavy rain which reduces visibility and increases the risk of accidents.
To ensure smooth traffic flow during the repair period, the Lam Dong Department of Construction has requested the Provincial Traffic Police Department, the People's Committee of Xuan Truong Ward - Da Lat, and the People's Committee of D'ran Commune to deploy forces to regularly patrol and monitor the site.
