The Vietnamese women's volleyball team has suffered 11 consecutive defeats in the final match against Thailand at the SEA Games.
On the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) rankings, Thailand is ranked 21st, while Vietnam is ranked 22nd. Vietnam women's volleyball has significantly improved its ranking thanks to many positive results in recent times. The memorable victory over arch-rival Thailand will certainly help the Vietnamese girls gain more confidence to conquer the gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games taking place at the end of this year.
