On February 10th, the public witnessed the joint appearance of two flagship fighter jets from the US and Russia at the Aero India 2025 air show in India.
The first day of a five-day air show in India saw two fighter jets, the F-35 (US) and the Su-57 (Russia), perform aerial displays. The simultaneous appearance of these two aircraft became one of the highlights of the opening day, as it marked the first time the two main fighter jets from the two leading military powers had faced each other. The exhibition took place at the Yelahanka Air Base in Bengaluru, India.

According to The Economics Times , both the F-35 and Su-57 thrilled exhibition attendees with their short takeoff capabilities and maneuverability. The Indian Ministry of Defence presented the Su-57 as capable of providing visitors with "high-speed aerial displays and tactical demonstrations highlighting its maneuverability, stealth capabilities, and firepower." Meanwhile, the F-35 was described as “the most widely deployed fifth-generation fighter, incorporating advanced stealth capabilities, situational awareness, and superior cyber warfare capabilities.”

Both the US and Russia are keen to strengthen military cooperation with India, and the exhibition is particularly significant given New Delhi's plans to purchase over 100 multirole fighters, a move that has attracted many major defense contractors. This also marks the first time the Su-57 has been showcased at an exhibition in India.
Aero India 2025 is also a place where India showcases its aircraft and weapons models, as well as a platform for many defense companies to introduce their weapons and equipment to potential customers.
Two prototypes of the Air Lora hypersonic missile and the Wind Demon air-to-ground cruise missile from Israel Aerospace Industries were displayed at the exhibition.
