Provincial People's Committee leaders work with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism

On August 16, Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a working session with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DTC) on the results of the implementation of DTC in the first 7 months of the year; tasks for the last months of the year. Attending were leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.

In the first 7 months of the year, the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism directed and organized the completion of 169 tasks (reaching 100% of the tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and 8/12 key and breakthrough tasks to ensure quality and progress); there were no tasks that were late or not implemented. Accordingly, many cultural and artistic activities, exhibitions, mobile propaganda, film screenings, etc. were focused on integrating the propaganda of the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State to the people, meeting the requirements of serving political tasks and creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere to serve the people in the province; in which the highlight was the event of the Ceremony to receive the UNESCO Certificate inscribing "Cham pottery art on the List of intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent protection" and the Ninh Thuan Grape - Wine Festival in 2023 were very successful. In high-performance sports, 14 tournaments were participated, including 10 national tournaments and 4 regional tournaments, winning 45 medals of all kinds. The tourism sector achieved many positive results, with the total number of visitors and vacationers estimated at 2.17 million (up 20.86% over the same period, reaching 80.4% of the plan); of which, international visitors were estimated at 23,400 (up 293.94% over the same period); social income from tourism activities was estimated at 1,750 billion VND...

Concluding the working session, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and commended the efforts of the entire sector. Regarding the tasks for the last months of the year, he requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to focus on reviewing and implementing the key tasks assigned to the sector during the year; upholding the sense of responsibility of the head in leadership, direction, regularly inspecting and supervising the implementation of the unit; specifying the tasks of administrative reform (institutional reform; organizational reform; civil service reform; public finance reform and building and developing e-government and digital government) and implementing them synchronously, uniformly, with focus, key points, going into depth, practically, effectively and sustainably..., striving to complete 100% of the tasks in 2023.
