In the first seven months of the year, the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism directed and organized the completion of 169 tasks (achieving 100% of the tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and 8 out of 12 key breakthrough tasks, ensuring quality and timely progress); there were no delayed or uncompleted tasks. Accordingly, they focused on organizing many cultural and artistic activities, exhibitions, mobile propaganda, film screenings, etc., through integrating the dissemination of the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State to the people, meeting the requirements of serving political tasks and creating a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere for the people in the province; among which, the most notable events were the ceremony to receive the UNESCO certificate inscribing "Cham pottery art on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguard" and the Ninh Thuan Grape and Wine Festival 2023, which were successfully held. In high-performance sports, Vietnam participated in 14 competitions, including 10 national and 4 regional open competitions, winning 45 medals of all kinds. The tourism sector achieved many positive results, with the total number of visitors and tourists estimated at 2.17 million (an increase of 20.86% compared to the same period last year, reaching 80.4% of the plan); of which, international visitors were estimated at 23,400 (an increase of 293.94% compared to the same period last year); social income from tourism activities was estimated at 1,750 billion VND…

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and commended the efforts of the entire sector. Regarding the tasks for the remaining months of the year, he requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to focus on reviewing and implementing the key tasks assigned to the sector for the year; to uphold the responsibility of the head of the department in leadership and direction, and to regularly inspect and supervise the implementation of the unit; to concretize the tasks of administrative reform (institutional reform; organizational structure reform; civil service reform; public finance reform and the building and development of e-government and digital government) and to implement them synchronously, uniformly, with a focus on key areas, in depth, practically, effectively and sustainably…, striving to complete 100% of the tasks for 2023.
