The delegation inspected rice fields at risk of being affected by floods in the commune. In the 2025 Autumn-Winter crop, the entire Tan Thanh commune sowed 6,551 hectares of rice, reaching 117.8% of the plan; harvested 6,253 hectares, yielding 5.3 tons/ha, with an estimated output of about 33,141 tons.
There are currently 298 hectares that are expected to be harvested by the end of September. Among the unharvested areas, many rice fields are at risk of being affected by floods. According to the forecast of the Tay Ninh Province Hydrometeorological Station, in the coming time, the water level on rivers, canals, and streams will rise, water will flow in and rain will affect people's daily activities, especially agricultural production.
Chairman of Tan Thanh Commune People's Committee Le Phuoc Ven directed the specialized sector to coordinate with relevant units to proactively monitor the situation of floods and high tides, review key dykes, and effectively implement the "4 on-site" motto to prevent and combat floods and storms, mitigate natural disasters, especially protect unharvested rice areas.
In the immediate future, specialized agencies need to have a plan, mobilize forces to reinforce the dike system, and propagate to people to regularly check weak dike areas at risk of overflow to detect and handle promptly to protect the remaining rice fields.
Professional sectors and organizations strengthen field management and encourage farmers to follow the sowing schedule to have a bumper crop./.
