The 5th Pan Wang Festival in 2025 will take place on November 21 and 22.

On November 21-22, in Son Hai village (Ba Che commune, Quang Ninh province), the 5th Ban Vuong Festival will be held with many unique cultural and religious activities of the Dao people in the area. This is an annual event to pay tribute to the ancestors of Ban Vuong - the progenitor of the Dao people, while preserving and promoting traditional cultural values.

As planned, the Opening Ceremony will take place at 7:30 p.m. on November 21 with a traditional ceremony and an art program reenacting the Legend of Ban Vuong - "Dream of the Sun" performed by the Thuan Viet Art Center, reenacting the fire dancing ritual of the Dao Thanh Phan people, and reenacting the wedding of the Dao Thanh Y people.

Within the framework of the festival, people and tourists can participate in many experiential activities such as visiting the Ong Temple - Ba Temple relics, pottery kilns; learning about the culture, cuisine , and traditional crafts of the Dao people; visiting the OCOP booth. Many unique performances praising the origin of Ban Vuong, honoring the cultural identity of the Thanh Y Dao and Thanh Phan Dao people were also performed to serve the people and tourists.

On the morning of November 22, the “Journey across the sea” ceremony - a unique ritual of the Dao people, will be recreated by 12 artisans. In addition, the festival also includes cooking competitions, folk games, crossbow shooting and flute playing competitions; cultural exchanges and community games. The 5th Ban Vuong Festival in 2025 demonstrates community cohesion and pride in the Dao ethnic origin. This is also an opportunity to promote the image of Ba Che homeland to tourists inside and outside the province.
