In the first match (November 30), coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his team drew 2-2, and won the rematch 2-1 (December 2). These are considered quality matches, helping the coaching staff evaluate the effectiveness of the domestic preparation process as well as test optimal personnel and squad options.
Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said the coaching staff was satisfied with the team's fighting spirit and professional progress through the two matches: "Those were quality friendly matches, helping us test our ability to assemble the team, and at the same time see more clearly our strengths and areas that need improvement before the SEA Games."
