On July 1st at the Vinh Phuc Gymnasium, the VTV Cup International Women's Volleyball Tournament completed its group stage, determining the four quarterfinal matches to be played tomorrow (July 3rd). In quarterfinal 1, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team (first in Group A) will face the Vietnamese U.21 team (fourth in Group B). Quarterfinal 2 will be a clash between Taiwan (second in Group B) and Sichuan Club (third in Group A). Quarterfinal 3 will be between Korabelka Club (first in Group B) and Australia (fourth in Group A), and quarterfinal 4 will be a match between the Philippines (second in Group A) and the Thai U.21 team (third in Group B).

The home volleyball team receives special treatment, why?
According to the original schedule, the first quarter-final match between the Vietnam national team and the Vietnam U.21 team was supposed to take place at 12 noon. However, to cater to the needs of a large number of fans and in accordance with the principle of prioritizing the home team, this match will take place during "prime time," at 7:30 PM, and will be broadcast live on VTV2 and VTV Can Tho .
The remaining three quarter-final matches are as follows: Quarter-final 3 between Korabelka Club and Australia at 12:00 PM (live on VTV2), Quarter-final 2 between Taiwan and Sichuan Club at 2:30 PM (live on VTV2), and Quarter-final 4 between the Philippines and Thailand U.21 at 5:00 PM (live on VTV5).

Of the four quarterfinal matches in the VTV Cup 2025 International Women's Volleyball Tournament, two are considered to be heavily lopsided: the match between the Vietnamese women's national team and the Vietnamese U.21 team, and the match between Korabelka and the Australian team. The Vietnamese team and Korabelka are considered superior, promising victories and a place in the semi-finals. The remaining two matches, between Taiwan and Sichuan Club, and the Philippines and the Thai U.21 team, are expected to be evenly matched and exciting.
