The celebratory space was adorned with the vibrant red of the national flag. Female soldiers, dressed in elegant traditional ao dai, held Vietnamese flags and radiantly welcomed the guests.

Each attendee was given a national flag to wear on their chest or a bright red scarf with the words "I love Vietnam" written on it.

The opening performance, themed "80 Years of Colors," was impressive. Timeless songs such as "The Song of Ho Chi Minh ," "The Party Has Given Us a Spring," and "A Tour of Vietnam" recreated the glorious 80-year history of the nation.

In particular, the two cultural performances by the Nepalese unit, imbued with international friendship, received enthusiastic applause from all attendees, affirming the solidarity among peacekeeping forces in the mission.

Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Hao, Commander of the Vietnamese Peacekeeping Force, emotionally delivered a commemorative speech, recalling the glorious milestones of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd.

Next, the delegates watched a documentary film about the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, as well as the strong development of Vietnam under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam .

The delegates also enjoyed the powerful martial arts performances by officers and soldiers set to stirring music, showcasing strength, discipline, and an indomitable fighting spirit. This was a unique performance, deeply rooted in the cultural identity and martial spirit of the Vietnamese people.

In addition, delegates visited the exhibition area showcasing books, photographs, traditional costumes, and handicrafts that introduce the people, culture, and country of Vietnam. Particularly, the food area featuring traditional Vietnamese dishes attracted a large number of attendees.

At the ceremony, the leaders of the Abyei Special Administrative Region and the Commander of the UNISFA Mission expressed their admiration for Vietnam's glorious history and highly appreciated the positive contributions of Vietnamese peacekeeping forces to the mission and the local community.

Brigadier General Ameer Muhammad Umrani, Deputy Commander of the UNISFA military force, assessed that 80 years ago, Vietnam declared independence, demonstrating not only national strength but also an unwavering spirit of independence. Since then, Vietnam has become widely known throughout the world not only for its glorious past but also for its rapid development.

In peacekeeping operations, Vietnam has made significant contributions, including the Vietnamese Engineering Corps stationed in Abyei. Furthermore, Vietnamese soldiers have built close and valuable relationships with the local people and authorities.

Mr. Charles Abyei Jok, Head of the Abyei Regional Administration, stated that Vietnam has played an increasingly important role in peacekeeping missions around the world. He expressed admiration for the history and the struggle for independence and freedom of the Vietnamese people. He also thanked the Vietnamese peacekeeping forces for their contributions to the community.

Honored to participate in peacekeeping operations for the second term, Lieutenant Vu Phuong Uyen emotionally shared that, in the distant land of Africa, Vietnamese soldiers were still able to celebrate National Day together, see the red flag with a yellow star flying, and listen to songs praising their homeland.

"The ceremony was both solemn and warm, just like being at home. I was most impressed by the participation of international friends. Colleagues from other countries joined us in saluting the flag and enjoying the cultural performances."

"This shows the solidarity and friendship among the peacekeeping forces at the mission. They understood and shared our joy and pride on National Day. When I saw them wearing the 'I love Vietnam' scarves, I was truly moved," Lieutenant Uyen expressed.
