On the morning of June 26th, in an interview with a reporter from Dan Viet newspaper, a representative from the Ministry of Education and Training stated: "We are currently verifying and handling the information regarding the leaked exam questions for the 2024 high school graduation exam."
Specifically, on the night of June 25th, in some online groups and forums, false information about the "leaked high school graduation exam questions for 2024" was shared and spread.
After receiving reports about the incident, the Ministry of Education and Training contacted and requested assistance from the Ministry of Public Security to verify the identity of the person who posted the false information. Currently, the Ministry of Public Security is conducting an investigation to handle the matter according to the law.
To avoid causing public confusion and affecting the psychology of candidates participating in the 2024 high school graduation exam, the Ministry of Education and Training requests that people refrain from sharing the aforementioned false information.
The posting and sharing of false, fabricated, or distorted information will be dealt with according to current regulations.

Previously, on the evening of June 25th, several student groups on social media were spreading information about leaked exam questions for the 2024 high school graduation exam in Literature, Mathematics, and Foreign Language. Regarding the English exam, rumors circulated that 7 questions in the reading comprehension section were taken from a major American newspaper published on May 28th, and 5 other questions were "taken from a school that had previously used a second-semester exam 4 years ago." For the Math exam, "the first 30 questions were very easy, gradually becoming more difficult from question 33... peaking at question 36 with many new and unusual math problems, and the last 7 questions were very difficult...".
What will the 2024 high school graduation exam be like?
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, 2024 is the last year of teaching and testing according to the 2006 general education program. Therefore, the 2024 high school graduation exam will basically maintain the same structure as the 2023 high school graduation exam.
However, in preparation for the transition to a new phase, the exam has been appropriately reinforced with content related to practical application, gradually moving closer to a competency-based assessment approach, in line with the goals and requirements for developing students' competencies and qualities as outlined in the 2018 general education curriculum.
Specifically, in terms of structure, format, and difficulty level: the exam basically remains stable with 4 levels of cognitive ability: recognition, comprehension, application, and advanced application; consistent with the objectives of the high school graduation exam.
In terms of content, the exam ensures scientific accuracy and adherence to the knowledge and skills standards of the 2006 general education curriculum; it has a higher degree of differentiation, especially in questions at the application and higher application levels.
Regarding the question format, the Literature exam is essay-based, with questions designed to encourage students' creativity and limit the use of model essays. The remaining 14 subjects are multiple-choice with four options: A, B, C, or D.
Previously, during the 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi, social media was abuzz with information suggesting that the Literature exam paper had been leaked and that the Math and Foreign Language exam papers had to be completely replaced. However, this information was denied by the Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, Tran The Cuong.
