Long An promotes work at Chungnam Technology Park, Korea

On September 26, 2023, the delegation of Long An province had a working session at Chungnam Techno Park (CTP), Korea.

The delegation was led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Long An Province. The delegation also included Mr. Tran Van Dung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee; Mr. Huynh Van Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives of the Departments of Planning and Investment, Transport,Education and Training, Natural Resources and Environment, the Vietnam Women's Union of the province and a number of enterprises.

Mr. Kyu-Sok Suh - Director expressed his pleasure to welcome Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai and the delegation to visit CTP, and also hoped to have discussions and receive support from Long An province in the process of finding a suitable investment location to invest in a CTP Technology Park in Long An.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai introduced the potential and strengths of the province: Long An has an important strategic position in connecting the vibrant economic and financial center such as Ho Chi Minh City with the Mekong Delta, abundant young human resources; infrastructure and transportation network are being invested synchronously; the government apparatus is dynamic, innovative, always accompanying businesses; the land fund for industrial and urban development is planned by the Government; friendly people... is an attractive environment for Korean investors to feel secure to invest and do business in the province.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Van Son informed that in Long An province, there are 34 industrial parks established with a total area of 9,251.6 hectares; 44 industrial clusters, an area of 2,181 hectares; the goal is to establish 17 more industrial parks, an area of 3,181.4 hectares and 28 industrial clusters with an area of 1,808 hectares by 2030. Long An's industrial parks and clusters are mainly concentrated in districts adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City and have been invested in complete infrastructure, ready to welcome businesses and investors to Long An.

Long An wishes to cooperate with Chungnam Technology Park and invite Korean enterprises to invest in Long An in the following fields: high technology, focusing on the fields of Industry 4.0 automation, manufacturing of electronic components - equipment and software, microchips, semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence; material production, supporting industry, processing and manufacturing, manufacturing, assembling automobiles and automobile components; developing smart ecological urban areas; seaport services, import-export services, business support services, logistics; ecosystems supporting the development of science, technology, innovation and startups; developing high-quality human resource training to supply labor resources for businesses and investors.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai invited Mr. Kyu-Sok Suh and CTP members to Long An to conduct a field survey and learn more about the province's investment environment.

Also during the working trip to Korea, Long An enterprises also met and exchanged with CTP enterprises in related fields.
