The nearly 300-page book gathers documents, stories and vivid images, recreating the enduring contributions of the People's Public Security force throughout revolutionary history, especially in peacetime.
From soldiers at the border, in remote areas, to soldiers on the front lines against the pandemic, in disaster relief... all depict the image of the police closely attached to the people, just as Uncle Ho instructed: "Serving the people".

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Trong Lam said that the book was compiled in 8 months under the close direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security and the coordination of many units. He emphasized that this is an important study and research document, and at the same time suggested publishing an electronic version for wide dissemination.
Speaking at the book launch ceremony "When people need, when people are in trouble, there is the Public Security" , Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quoc To, Deputy Minister of Public Security affirmed that over the past 80 years, the Public Security force has always kept in mind Uncle Ho's teachings: respect, courtesy, serving the people and relying on the people to work, achieving many feats, maintaining security and order, and protecting the peace of the Fatherland.
In recent years, under the leadership of the Party and the direction of General Secretary To Lam , the force has taken the lead in streamlining the apparatus, providing strategic advice, fighting crime, applying technology, perfecting the law, expanding international cooperation, implementing social security, and helping tens of thousands of poor households and policy families.

Towards the 80th anniversary of tradition, the book was compiled to spread the image of the heroic police officer, arouse the motivation to train, stick with the people, resolutely maintain the spirit and ethics, build a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, modern force, meeting the requirements in the new situation.
