Reasons why Bui Quynh Hoa, Ngoc Chau, Khanh Van, and Kim Duyen were forced to drop out of school

Recently, news that beauty queen Bui Quynh Hoa was expelled from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Film for violating academic regulations has attracted much attention.

Bui Quynh Hoa skipped an entire semester.

On March 30, Mr. Le Hung, deputy head of the training, scientific management and international cooperation department of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Film, confirmed to Tuoi Tre Online that beauty queen Bui Quynh Hoa had been expelled from the university.

The reason is that Bui Quynh Hoa skipped the entire first semester of the 2023-2024 school year.

"According to the regulations for regular university training, this case falls under the category of forced expulsion due to violation of academic regulations."

Therefore, on March 26th, the school principal issued a decision to expel student Quynh Hoa - class K12A of the University of Digital Cinema" - Mr. Le Hung confirmed the details.

Miss Bui Quynh Hoa was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2023. She represented Vietnam at the 72nd Miss Universe competition but did not make it into the top 20.

Ngoc Chau was forced to drop out of school due to exceeding the training period.

Previously, beauty queen Ngoc Chau confirmed to Tuoi Tre Online that she had stopped studying at Ton Duc Thang University (Ho Chi Minh City).

She explained the reason for stopping her studies: "Chau has submitted an application requesting consideration to allow her to complete some projects, which are necessary to qualify for the exam and obtain her diploma."

However, because the training period had expired, the school refused and could not process the request as it was a regulation in education .

Miss Ngoc Chau stated that she deferred her studies when registering for the Miss Universe 2022 competition and subsequently participated in the international contest. However, due to exceeding the permitted study period, Ngoc Chau was unable to graduate.

Khanh Van is attending a supplementary education program and has exceeded the deadline for deferring her university studies.

Miss Khanh Van was also once rumored to have been forced to drop out of school.

Information circulating on social media claimed that her exam scores were too low to get into a public high school. She was forced to attend remedial classes at Ly Tu Trong High School (District 1).

Subsequently, social media was abuzz again with the news that Khanh Van had deferred her studies at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Film.

Khánh Vân's prolonged involvement in competitions and artistic activities led to her being forced to drop out of school, as the school only allows a maximum of one year for deferment.

When contacted about this matter, Khanh Van declined to share any information.

Kim Duyên has 43 outstanding credits.

The online community was once abuzz with news that runner-up Kim Duyên owed 43 credits at Nam Can Tho University. Due to failing to complete her courses on time, she was also forced to drop out.

Kim Duyên previously stated that she stopped her studies in Vietnam to go to Singapore to further improve her foreign language skills and obtain a business administration certificate.

Kim Duyên confirmed that she has completed and received certificates for these two courses.

Previously, Nam Can Tho University confirmed that Kim Duyen had proactively requested to defer her studies in order to pursue further education abroad.

Besides beauty queens and runners-up who were forced to drop out of school, many other artists and celebrities were also forced to drop out but are now successful, such as: Tran Thanh, Truong Giang, Tuan Hung, Son Tung M-TP, Chi Pu, Huynh Lap, Toc Tien, Hoai Lam…

Despite their busy schedules, many beauty queens and runners-up still find time to pursue postgraduate studies.

A prime example is Miss Grand International Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien, who received a scholarship for a Master's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the Swiss Hotel and Tourism Management University Center (SHMS University Center). She chose to pursue distance learning so she could fulfill her role as Miss Grand International.

Runner-up Phuong Anh received a scholarship for a Master of Global Commerce from RMIT University. She has 1.5 years to complete the program.

Runner-up Thuy Van has received her Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Institute of Management and Technology, FPT University. She received a scholarship for her outstanding academic achievements.
