The early blooming cherry blossoms on the lush green Oolong tea hills, combined with the majestic mountain scenery, have earned this destination the reputation of being the most beautiful tea hill in Vietnam.
Located at an altitude of approximately 1,800 meters above sea level, the Oolong tea hills in Sa Pa, Lao Cai, are planted by a foreign company and cared for by the local H'Mong people.

What makes Oolong tea hill particularly attractive compared to other tea hills is the cherry blossom trees planted interspersed along the pathways between the rows of tea plants.

The last days of the year (early December to January) are when the cherry blossoms bloom, creating a breathtaking natural landscape in this area.

In previous years, the tea plantation company did not open its doors to tourists to avoid disrupting the tea factory's operations. This year, to cater to the appreciation of tourists, the Oolong tea plantation has been opened to visitors.

The Oolong tea hill is located about 8 km from the center of Sa Pa town. Starting from Sa Pa town, follow National Highway 4D, which is also the main road to Silver Waterfall and O Quy Ho Pass. You can see the tea hill right from the highway.

Because it is located on the main road to O Quy Ho Pass, O Long tea hill is also known as O Quy Ho tea hill.

From O Quy Ho Pass, you'll see rolling hills of tea plantations resembling inverted bowls stacked on top of each other, a vibrant green interspersed with the bright pink and yellow hues of cherry blossoms, creating a unique and beautiful scene.

The Oolong tea hills are beautiful from every angle, and perhaps the best way to appreciate their enchanting beauty is from a distance or from a high vantage point. From above, one is amazed by the delicate pink of the young peach blossoms interspersed with the lush green of the tea plants, creating a breathtaking natural landscape.

The tea hills are nestled in a small valley, surrounded by the towering mountains of the majestic Hoang Lien Son range.

Cherry blossoms are woody trees that typically shed all their leaves around October or November each year, leaving only bare branches.

When spring arrives (approximately from early December to the end of January), the branches are covered in blossoms. Even more remarkably, not only are the cherry blossoms a delicate pink, but the young leaves on the slender branches also blend in with the vibrant red, making the tree resplendent in the sunlight.

The best time to admire the cherry blossoms is early morning (from 7 to 8 a.m.), when the sun has just risen above the mountains. The first rays of dawn pierce through the hazy white mist, gradually illuminating the tea hills. The cherry blossoms and leaves absorb the warm sunlight and reflect the light, making them brilliantly radiant. A sweet, delicate pink hue stands out against the lush green tea hills and the sky filled with morning light, creating a truly captivating sight.
From 3 PM to 5 PM is also a great time to visit and take photos at Oolong Tea Hill. The perfect blend of the vibrant green of young tea leaves with the delicate pink of cherry blossoms and leaves in a spacious, tranquil setting gives visitors a feeling of immense relaxation.
