(Dan Tri) - The new Avatr 06 uses CATL batteries and Huawei technology, competing directly with the Tesla Model 3.
The ever-expanding Chinese electric vehicle market has just welcomed another member: the Avatr 06. This sedan is closely related to the Avatr 07 SUV launched earlier this year, combining the Changan chassis platform, CATL batteries and Huawei technology.

At first glance, the Avatr 06 looks like a scaled-down version of the Avatr 12 Gran Coupe. However, a closer look reveals more traditional proportions and a more refined, refined style. Notable design details include the slim, split LED headlights, a more open front bumper and a more elegant body.
The Avatr 06 sedan is also equipped with a series of advanced sensors serving the Huawei Qiankun ADAS system, including a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor.
The rearview mirrors have been replaced with cameras, a design choice that is said to eliminate the need for a glass rear window, a trend that is gaining traction but remains controversial. The rear highlights include a third brake light integrated into the roof, along with a spoiler located on the trunk lid.

The sedan measures 4,855mm long, 1,960mm wide and 1,450mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,940mm. This makes it 30mm longer than the Avatr 07 and 135mm longer than the Tesla Model 3.
While Avatr has yet to reveal its interior, it is expected to be in line with the brand's higher-end models, with a cockpit featuring a large digital display running Huawei's Harmony OS and other high-tech features.
The 06 shares the CHN platform with Avatr's other vehicles. While the company has yet to release full specifications, it's safe to assume it will be powered by the same engines as the 07.

It is expected to come in rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) versions. The RWD version will likely produce 338 horsepower, while the AWD version will have around 590 horsepower. Both will use an 82kWh battery pack.
There will also be EREV versions that use a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine to charge a 39kWh battery pack. This configuration will use one or two electric motors.
The Avatr 06 is expected to launch in China in early 2025, with high expectations to improve sales for the company, in the context that the larger Avatr 11 and 12 models have not achieved sales as initially targeted in the fiercely competitive Chinese electric vehicle market.
Avatr is headquartered in Chongqing, has a development center in Shanghai, and a design center in Munich, Germany.
