TPO - Thunderstorms are developing strongly, moving towards Binh Duong , Dong Nai, and Ho Chi Minh City, causing many southern provinces and cities to soon experience thunderstorms, lightning, and heavy rain during the weekend.

The news from the Southern Hydrometeorological Station shows that from the night to the early morning of May 26, satellite cloud warning images are showing dense thunderstorms forming in the areas of Lam Dong, Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc . The direction of movement is expanding and moving towards the Southeast provinces, including Ho Chi Minh City.

Specifically, thunderstorms are developing, causing showers and thunderstorms in the areas of Tan Phu ( Dong Nai ), Chon Thanh town, Binh Long town, Loc Ninh district, Bu Dang district, Bu Gia Map district (Binh Phuoc), Bau Bang, Phu Giao, Dau Tieng (Binh Duong), Duong Minh Chau district, Tan Bien, Tay Ninh city (Tay Ninh)...

Some places in the Southwest region such as An Minh, U Minh Thuong, An Bien, Tan Hiep districts (Kien Giang), Thanh Binh, Tam Nong, Hong Ngu, Tan Hong districts (Dong Thap), Thoi Binh (Ca Mau) are also included in this warning.

The Meteorological Agency forecasts that in the coming hours, thunderstorms will continue to develop and cause showers with thunderstorms and lightning in the above areas, then the thunderstorms will tend to expand and spread to other neighboring areas. Rainfall is generally 5 - 15mm, in some places over 30mm. During thunderstorms, beware of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind at level 5 - 8.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting forecasts that on May 26, the Southern region will be cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms, light winds, with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms. The lowest temperature will be from 25 - 28 degrees Celsius and the highest will be from 34 - 36 degrees Celsius, with some places above 36 degrees Celsius.
