Regarding the weather trend in Ho Chi Minh City for the next 10 days (May 9th to 19th), the Southern Regional Hydrometeorological Station stated that the subtropical high-pressure system with its axis passing through the Central region is currently stable in intensity. In addition, upper-level disturbances (causing rain) continue to persist over the Southern region.
Based on the above weather patterns, the Southern Region Meteorological and Hydrological Station forecasts that in the coming days, many areas in Ho Chi Minh City have a 65-70% probability of rain. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind, so be prepared for the possibility of heavy rain causing localized flooding.

In recent days, Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region have experienced widespread transitional rains with relatively large amounts. However, some areas still experience hot weather, although the intensity has decreased compared to the end of April.
Specifically, according to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, on May 10th, the southeastern region of Vietnam will experience hot weather with maximum temperatures generally ranging from 34-36 degrees Celsius, and exceeding 36 degrees Celsius in some areas.
Forecasts indicate that from May 12-15, the southeastern region of Vietnam will continue to experience hot weather. Showers and thunderstorms are expected in some areas during the evening and night. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.
