On the evening of March 25, a grand floating stage was set up on the Perfume River (Hue City) and lit up with an art program themed "Love confession of the river" on the opening night of the National Tourism Year 2025.
The National Tourism Year 2025 with the theme "Hue - ancient capital, new opportunities" organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coincides with the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Hue City (March 26, 1975 - March 26, 2025) and Hue Festival 2025. Attending the opening ceremony were Politburo member, Permanent member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh; Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung; Secretary of Hue City Party Committee Le Truong Luu; leaders of ministries, branches, localities and thousands of people of Hue City.
The art program was elaborately and magnificently staged.

The program took place on a semi-realistic stage along the Perfume River, with the participation of thousands of artists from all over the country.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said that the National Tourism Year 2025 took place with many exciting activities in Hue City and many provinces and cities across the country to complete the goal of welcoming 22-23 million international visitors and serving 120-130 million domestic tourists in 2025; at the same time, striving for total revenue from tourism to reach about 980-1,050 trillion VND, making Vietnam an attractive destination for international cultural, sports and tourism exchanges; contributing to the successful implementation of the country's socio-economic development plan with a growth target of 8% or more.

Thereby, it affirms that Hue is not only a city of history but also a bright spot of the future, a unique cultural tourism center of the whole country, a symbol of innovation and development based on the strength of heritage, elegance, gentleness, and hospitality of each person here.
