On the evening of March 25th, a magnificent floating stage set up on the Perfume River (Hue City) shone brightly with an art program themed "The River's Love Song" during the opening night of the National Tourism Year 2025.
The 2025 National Tourism Year, themed "Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunities," organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, coincides with the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Hue City (March 26, 1975 - March 26, 2025) and the Hue Festival 2025. Attending the opening ceremony were Politburo member and Standing Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Tran Cam Tu; Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh; Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh; Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung; Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee Le Truong Luu; leaders of ministries, sectors, and localities, along with thousands of Hue City residents.
The art program was elaborately and spectacularly staged.

The program takes viewers on a journey to enjoy the stories of famous rivers in different regions of the country, showcasing the unique cultural characteristics of each area. The script also aims to convey the message that rivers flowing into the vast ocean symbolize the nation's integration and development, rising to prominence in the new era.
In his opening remarks, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung stated that the National Tourism Year 2025 will feature many vibrant activities in Hue City and many provinces and cities nationwide, aiming to achieve the goal of welcoming 22-23 million international visitors and serving 120-130 million domestic tourists in 2025. Simultaneously, the aim is to achieve total tourism revenue of approximately 980-1,050 trillion VND, making Vietnam an attractive destination for international cultural, sports, and tourism exchanges; contributing to the successful implementation of the country's socio-economic development plan with a growth target of 8% or higher.

Through this, it affirms that Hue is not only a city of history but also a bright spot for the future, a unique cultural tourism center of the country, a symbol of innovation and development based on its strengths in heritage, elegance, gentleness, and hospitality of its people.
