Male student suffered a perforated eardrum after being beaten by teacher at home

Regarding the incident in which a teacher in Thanh Hoa went to a student's house to beat him, the male student currently has a perforated eardrum and is being treated in the hospital.

Regarding the incident in which Mr. T. (a teacher at Vinh Loc High School, Thanh Hoa ) went to a student's house to beat him, Mr. Nguyen Van Tinh, Principal of Vinh Loc High School, said that after the incident, the school asked Mr. T. to report.

According to initial information, teacher T. admitted that he went to the house of a 7th grade student at Pham Van Hinh Secondary School (Tay Do Commune) and slapped the student because he was upset when he heard the student tell others that the teacher's teaching was difficult to understand.

Teacher T. is related to the student's family (he calls the student's parents "aunt and uncle"). The family has entrusted the teacher to tutor the student since the third grade. According to the teacher's explanation, during the summer, the student told his friends that the teacher's teaching was difficult to understand (with "obscene language"). Hearing this, teacher T. went to the student's house, in front of the student's mother, and slapped the student in the face "to teach him a lesson from a family perspective".

After that, Mr. T. and his family took him to Hanoi for examination, then returned to Thanh Hoa Children's Hospital to monitor and treat the perforated eardrum.

Principal Nguyen Van Tinh said the student's family requested not to bring the matter to court but to resolve it internally.

"The school has reported the incident to the Department of Education and Training, and requested professional groups to review, remind, and inspect teachers in carrying out local activities in accordance with regulations," said Mr. Tinh.

The leaders of Thanh Hoa Children's Hospital confirmed that the male student in the clip was admitted to the hospital at noon on August 12. After examination, the doctor determined that his left eardrum was perforated and bleeding. He is currently being monitored and treated with antibiotics.

Authorities are investigating a clip recording a male student being beaten at his home, causing public outrage.
