Improving digital financial knowledge and skills for youth and students

On the afternoon of March 26, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association and Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank) signed a cooperation agreement for the 2025-2028 period.

Attending the program were representatives from the leadership of central ministries and agencies; the Central Secretariat of the Youth Union; the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Union; and the leadership of Sacombank .

During the period 2025-2028, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union and Sacombank will cooperate in guiding young people to experience digital banking, sponsoring the implementation of digital finance projects, and social welfare projects for the community.

In 2025, Sacombank will collaborate with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union to organize the 6th Global Forum of Young Vietnamese Intellectuals; the National Youth Entrepreneurship Forum; the "Rural Youth Entrepreneurship Project" competition; digital finance training for young people in Hanoi ; a Youth Entrepreneurship Counseling Day; a Young Workers' Day; and programs such as "Happy Home" and "Lighting Up the Borderlands of My Homeland"...

Comrade Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Youth Union, delivered a speech at the program.

The cooperation between the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Union and Sacombank focuses on enhancing students' knowledge and skills in digital finance; facilitating the application of technology in implementing activities for students; organizing a nationwide Digital Finance Festival, creating knowledge-based platforms, promoting a spirit of innovation and connecting a strong student community; and connecting students with businesses and experts.

In 2025, Sacombank, in collaboration with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Union, will participate in the launching ceremony of the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, build a digital financial information portal, organize a series of Digital Finance Festivals at universities nationwide, and implement the "Student Engagement" program (using gamification).

In addition, Sacombank collaborates with the Vietnam Youth Union and the Vietnam Student Union to implement the Healthy Living Fund, aiming to organize community activities and encourage a green and healthy lifestyle. Specifically, for every Sacombank Visa Platinum O2 credit card, Mastercard Debit EcoGreen card, newly opened Sacombank Pay account, or successfully approved Green credit loan, Sacombank will contribute from VND 10,000 to VND 50,000 to the fund.

In the near future, the bank also plans to collaborate in organizing running events to encourage young people to improve their health, while continuing to contribute to the fund at a rate of 1,000 VND per kilometer completed by the athletes.

“We expect that the cooperation will be one of the effective solutions to help young people have more opportunities to access knowledge, technology, and modern financial solutions, ready to conquer the challenges of the new era. Through this, we aim to promote the role and responsibility of young people in participating with all sectors of society in carrying out socio -economic development tasks according to the Party's orientation, and to resolutely act to achieve the growth target of 8% or more,” said Comrade Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Youth Union.
