According to the report of the Ministry of Education and Training , block V (including the fields of Mathematics and Statistics, Computer Science and Information Technology, Engineering Technology, Engineering, Production and Processing, Architecture and Construction, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and Veterinary Medicine) has the largest training scale in recent years, with the number of students increasing steadily every year.

Specifically, in the 2024-2025 school year, there will be more than 707,600 students studying this block, concentrated in key strategic technology and engineering fields. In the past 4 years, the size of this block has increased by an average of about 9%/year.

Following is Block III (Business and Management, Law) with a scale of more than 576,000 students in 2024-2025.

Block VII (Humanities, Social and Behavioral Sciences , Journalism and Information, Social Services, Hotel - Tourism - Sports and Personal Services, Transportation Services, Environment and Environmental Protection, National Security and Defense) ranked third with a scale of more than 490,600 students.

Meanwhile, Block IV (Life Sciences, Natural Sciences) has the smallest scale with more than 27,400 students.

Also according to the Ministry of Education and Training, in the 74 majors with a standard score based on the high school graduation exam score of 28/30 or higher, there are up to 50 majors in Pedagogy and 17 majors in Key Engineering and Strategic Technology (Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Semiconductor Microchips, Control and Automation...).
