September 5: Coffee prices reversed and increased slightly, pepper decreased by 1,000-2,000 VND/kg

(GLO)- Today (September 5), domestic coffee prices reversed and increased slightly by 300 VND/kg compared to yesterday. In contrast, pepper prices were adjusted down by 1,000-2,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, in Gia Lai province, coffee is being traded at 115,100 VND/kg. In Dak Lak province, coffee is priced at 115,300 VND/kg, and in Lam Dong province, it is 114,600 VND/kg.

In contrast to coffee, the domestic pepper market today recorded a sharp price decrease of 1,000-2,000 VND, trading around 151,000-153,000 VND/kg.

Accordingly, in Gia Lai, Dak Lak provinces and Ho Chi Minh City, pepper prices decreased by VND2,000/kg, down to VND153,000/kg, VND151,000/kg and VND152,000/kg, respectively.

In Lam Dong and Dong Nai provinces, after a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg, pepper was purchased by traders at 153,000 VND/kg and 152,000 VND/kg.

According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in August 2025 alone, Vietnam exported 95,000 tons of coffee, bringing in 429.1 million USD. In the first 8 months of the year, the figure was much more impressive with 1.2 million tons exported, earning 6.42 billion USD.

Similarly, pepper exports in August 2025 reached 21 thousand tons, worth 126.8 million USD (down from the previous month but up from the same period in 2024). In the first 8 months, pepper exports reached 165.7 thousand tons, worth 1.12 billion USD, with an average export price of 6,739.7 USD/ton (up 40.7%).
