Speaking to Tuoi Tre newspaper on December 12th, Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, commented: "Pho Day is significant in honoring and promoting Vietnamese cuisine to the world , contributing significantly to attracting more tourists to Vietnam."
According to her, this year's festival, held right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City with pho restaurants from all over the country participating, is a good opportunity for many tourists to learn about this quintessential national dish.
"The program has already made a significant impact, but it needs to be maintained annually, even significantly increased in scale and diversified in its organization with the participation of numerous units and state management agencies to create an even greater impact for Pho Day. The Association is ready to participate and support to work together to spread this meaningful program even further," Ms. Khanh said.

As an expert in the field of tourism, Mr. Duong Duc Minh - Deputy Director of the Institute for Economic and Tourism Development Research of Ho Chi Minh City - believes that the annual implementation of Pho Day both domestically and internationally is a very good thing, helping the program to always maintain its freshness and attractiveness to the community and diners.
According to Mr. Minh, this is not just a typical promotional event, but has elevated the value of pho. Through multiple editions, the program's reach and prestige have convinced many stakeholders to participate, making pho increasingly well-known.
"From an economic perspective, added value is very important in service provision because it helps make the product sustainable and spread everywhere," he said.
Mr. Minh added that pho represents the essence of Vietnamese cuisine, and Pho Day is a day to express that culinary excellence. Vietnamese people have both creatively and selectively integrated elements, resulting in pho that embodies Vietnamese identity while being easily enjoyed worldwide. This is a very important message that the program has successfully conveyed.
Pho Day 12-12: A 9-Year Journey Bringing Vietnamese Pho to the World
For the past few days, Ms. Huynh Thi Thu Thuy (An Phu Dong ward, Ho Chi Minh City) has been closely following information related to Pho Day. According to Ms. Thuy, her family enjoys eating pho because of its diverse flavors and preparation methods. This year's festival, with the appearance of nearly 30 pho brands, has made her family very excited to "join the feast".
"We'll be there for both days, and each day we'll try to sample as many different types of pho as possible. We have to seize this opportunity, because it's a rare chance to eat famous pho dishes that we've heard about but have never tasted before," Mrs. Thuy said, her heart filled with anticipation.
H'Hen Niê: I hope to cook pho for the people in my village.
Miss H'Hen Niê is one of the artists who has been associated with Pho Day for many years. She has eaten at many pho restaurants throughout the country.

Miss H'Hen Niê
When visiting the northern provinces, H'Hen Niê enjoys chicken pho. In the South, however, she prefers beef pho. Lemon and chili peppers are two indispensable condiments when H'Hen Niê eats pho.
In particular, the beauty queen likes to eat pho with bean sprouts and herbs. After tasting the broth, Hen will add seasonings according to her own taste.
In 2022, Tuoi Tre newspaper brought the "Pho of Love" mobile restaurant to the village of beauty queen H'Hen Niê, serving the people of Sứt M'đưng hamlet, Cư Suê commune (Cư M'gar district, Dak Lak province).
It was the first time the locals had the opportunity to enjoy steaming, delicious bowls of pho prepared by H'Hen Niê, Golden Star Anise Nguyen Tieu Bich Tran Tran (owner of Pho 34 Cao Thang, Ho Chi Minh City), singer Ha Van, and culinary expert Do Nguyen Hoang Long.
Later, H'Hen Niê learned the recipe and cooking method for pho from Ms. Tran, harboring the dream of cooking pho to serve the villagers during Tet (Lunar New Year) but hasn't been able to do so yet. H'Hen Niê said she still holds this intention and will try to make it a reality in the near future.
Kim Tuyen: I fell in love with pho without even realizing it.

When Tuổi Trẻ newspaper invited her to participate in Pho Day, actress Kim Tuyến readily agreed, despite being busy preparing for a new film. "Being able to participate in an event that honors and promotes pho – Vietnam's national dish – to everyone, and especially to friends around the world, is a joy and an honor for me," she said.
Kim Tuyen shared that she wasn't a pho fan, but she ate pho regularly and gradually fell in love with it without even realizing it. Although she usually chooses Southern-style pho restaurants because they have more vegetables and a richer flavor, she believes that Northern-style pho still has its own unique charm and the broth is very memorable.
First Runner-up Linh: Eating pho with a bowl of eggs is enough energy.

First Runner-up Linh
The Southwestern region of Vietnam is famous for its noodle dishes such as Nam Vang noodle soup, Sa Dec noodle soup, satay noodle soup, fermented fish noodle soup, broth noodle soup, grilled pork noodle soup... but Vu Linh, the 4th runner-up of Manhunt International 2025, prefers pho.
He often eats pho in the morning because it provides many calories, giving him enough energy for his activities and gym workouts. Vu Linh says he can eat pho three times a week. Pho with rare beef and beef meatballs is his favorite.
Vu Linh confided that Southern-style pho has a stronger flavor. When eating it, he often adds bean sprouts, sawtooth coriander, and basil leaves to balance the taste. He also frequently seasons his pho with black soy sauce, chili sauce, a little ground pepper, lime, and chili peppers according to his own taste. "Linh likes to add a little fatty broth to his pho and eat it with a small bowl of egg," he shared.
