Nghe An: Highlights on January 24

* On the morning of January 24th, the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a meeting with agencies in the Internal Affairs sector. The Standing Committee requested that agencies and units in the sector continue to proactively monitor the situation and develop plans to ensure political security and social order so that the people can enjoy the Spring Festival and celebrate Tet.

* Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School has just announced the recruitment of additional students for the 10th grade of the specialized high school program for the 2023-2024 school year. Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training has approved the school's recruitment of additional students for the following specialized subjects: Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, English, and English based on international English certificates.

* Luong Thuy Kieu and Luong May Duy, students of class 9B, Yen Tinh Ethnic Boarding Secondary School, are the only two female students from ethnic minorities to win first prize at the provincial-level science and technology competition for secondary school students in the 2023-2024 school year.

* According to forecasts, areas in Nghe An province will experience severe cold on January 24th, with temperatures dropping to 9 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas. This widespread severe cold spell in North Central Vietnam may last for several more days.
