
Considering the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in Official Dispatch No. 1511/LĐTBXH-CATLĐ dated April 11, 2024 on the proposal to swap working days on the occasion of the April 30 Victory Day and May 1 International Labor Day holidays in 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh agrees with the proposal in the above official dispatch of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on the swapping of working days on the occasion of the April 30 Victory Day and May 1 International Labor Day holidays in 2024.
Agencies and units implementing the above holiday schedule must arrange working departments reasonably to handle continuous work, ensure good service to the organization and the people, in which pay attention to assigning officers and civil servants on duty to handle sudden and unexpected work that may occur.
The Prime Minister authorized the Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to announce the exchange and holidays of Victory Day April 30 and International Labor Day May 1, 2024 to agencies, units, enterprises and employees.
* Previously, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs reported to the Prime Minister a plan to swap the normal working day on Monday, April 29, during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year and organize another compensatory working day.
Specifically, for civil servants and public employees, this working day will be swapped to Saturday, May 4. By swapping like that, civil servants and public employees will have 5 consecutive days off from Saturday, April 27 to Wednesday, May 1.
For employees, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs encourages employers to apply the April 30-May 1 holiday as prescribed for civil servants and public employees. The State labor management agency requires ensuring full implementation of the regimes for employees according to the law, and encourages more favorable agreements for employees.
