Mr. Ngo Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Soc Trang province, received the unit's support for people in flood-affected areas.

At the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Soc Trang province, regardless of breaks or office hours, the collective of cadres, civil servants, workers and volunteers are always ready to be on duty to receive, arrange goods, and promptly transport them to relief for the people in the northern provinces and cities heavily affected by storm No. 3. Many beautiful, touching, and cozy images during the relief work have been recorded by us.

In addition, responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Soc Trang province called on the people of Soc Trang province to participate in supporting the provinces damaged by storm No. 3. In that spirit, agencies, units, and localities in the province also contributed at least 1 day's salary; people of all walks of life, religious organizations, and philanthropists in the province, depending on their abilities and conditions, joined hands to share, provide material and spiritual support, and help the people of the northern provinces to quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

Everyone worked enthusiastically to transport goods to the North on time.

Together with the whole country, cadres and people in Soc Trang province, together with the southern provinces and cities, have turned those sorrows into meaningful acts of support and relief, towards our northern compatriots. No matter what the circumstances, the tradition of "the strong help the weak", of pain and misfortune embracing each other, is still evoked by cadres, soldiers and people across the country, hoping that our compatriots who have been heavily affected by storms and floods will soon overcome their pain and stabilize their lives.

Dozens of tons of necessities were promptly transported to the North.

Despite being busy with the company's workload, facing the huge damage caused by storms and floods to the people of the North, Ms. Trinh Thi Kieu Diem, residing in Ward 3, Soc Trang city, along with the group "Soc Trang Charity" mobilized support through relationships and partners. After more than 3 days, two trucks with about 25 tons of relief goods officially rolled out, heading to the people of Lao Cai province, to promptly share the difficulties with the people in the flood areas.

Recently, a convoy of 4 trucks carrying nearly 50 tons of goods were transported to safe support points and promptly provided relief to people in flood-affected areas.

Many charity trips of Soc Trang province people sent to the people in the North.

Although the convoy had to stop many times along the way due to vehicle problems, traffic jams, and heavy rain. After 5 hours of transfer to the train stations, despite having to stop many times due to bad weather, the volunteers encouraged each other and tried their best because the people out there were having much more difficulties than us. The charity trips contained the sentiments of the Party Committee, government, and people of Soc Trang, sharing the difficulties and losses of the people in the northern provinces.

Mr. Ngo Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Soc Trang province, said: In response to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Soc Trang province has registered and transferred 1 billion VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee to support the northern provinces and cities to promptly deploy response activities and help people affected by storm No. 3. Since the call was launched, officials, civil servants, employees, workers, people and businesses in Soc Trang have enthusiastically supported and contributed. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province has received support with a total amount of over 7 billion VND and many items and necessities to support people in the northern provinces.

In recent days, many individuals, organizations (through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Soc Trang province), volunteer associations and groups in Soc Trang province, with all their hearts, have carried out many practical volunteer activities towards the people of the North. That is the strength of solidarity of the people, compatriots, and nation, especially in the most difficult times.
