During the past term, the My Tu District Fatherland Front Committee has strived and resolutely overcome all difficulties and challenges, strengthening coordination with all levels of government and member organizations to successfully achieve the goals and tasks in the Coordination and Unified Action Program set forth by the District Fatherland Front Congress.
Notably, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the district has done an excellent job in disseminating information and mobilizing people's consensus in the implementation of key projects, creating public support for land clearance and ensuring the timely handover of land to construction units. This is especially true for the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway project passing through the district, and projects to expand and upgrade roads within the district.
During the past term, from the provincial "For the Poor" Fund and from mobilized and socialized resources, the Fatherland Front of the district has built 951 houses and repaired 123 houses for poor and disadvantaged households facing urgent housing needs. In addition, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the district has mobilized over 14.8 billion VND to build and repair 149 houses of compassion, and provided 27,712 gifts to policy beneficiary families and people with meritorious services during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year).
Delivering a guiding speech at the Congress, Mr. Duong Sa Kha - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Soc Trang province - congratulated, acknowledged, and praised the achievements of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the district during the past term.

At the same time, Mr. Duong Sa Kha expressed his hope that during the 2024-2029 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the district will continue to promote the spirit of "Unity - Democracy - Innovation - Development". He hoped that the District Party Committee, the District People's Council, the District People's Committee, and all departments and levels would continue to pay more attention to and support the Fatherland Front at all levels in the district to have dynamic, creative, innovative, and effective activities, contributing to gathering an increasingly large number of people from all walks of life in the national unity bloc.
“While we are pleased with the achievements made in the past term, we must also frankly and seriously acknowledge that, in addition to the limitations mentioned in the Report, the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district still have some shortcomings that need to be addressed and improved in the next term. I propose that the new term of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district must have fundamental and specific solutions to overcome the limitations and weaknesses that have been seriously assessed and acknowledged in the past term. Only then will these shortcomings and mistakes not be repeated in the next term, so that the work of the Fatherland Front in the district will become more effective and practical,” Mr. Duong Sa Kha noted.
