According to Mr. Hue, this is an inevitable requirement in the socio-economic development process of the new era, and at the same time a step to concretize Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo to realize the double-digit growth target in the 2026-2030 period and the following years.
“After the merger, Gia Lai has a lot of room for rapid and sustainable development thanks to its potential, advantages of vast land, rich terrain, forests and seas, rich culture, and large population…”- Mr. Hue emphasized.
To achieve the double-digit growth target in the 2025-2030 term, Gia Lai province needs to properly assess its potential and advantages, and develop specific solutions, especially solutions to create breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation, associated with promoting administrative reform.
In particular, for the western region of the province, it is necessary to focus on exploiting the potential and strengths of large, fertile land, red basalt land to develop high-tech agriculture , associated with deep processing, creating key agricultural products of commodity nature, associated with promoting exports.
The eastern region of the province promotes its strengths in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation. The focus is on promoting the highlight of the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE) in Quy Nhon Nam ward.
At the same time, effectively implement 4 key projects approved by the province, including: developing the semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence and cyber safety and security; developing human resources for the semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence and cyber safety and security; developing STEM education for high school students in the province; building a concentrated information technology park.
The province needs feasible solutions to attract investment in key projects at Quang Trung Software Park, the Concentrated Digital Technology Park, and the Artificial Intelligence Center - Supporting Urban Area project invested in and built by FPT Group in the province from 2024, to create a solid foundation for the high-tech industry.
Along with that, develop a system of research and testing centers, key laboratories, and develop infrastructure for semiconductor technology, artificial intelligence, and network safety and security.
One of the key tasks is to train, foster and attract high-quality human resources in the fields of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation. It is necessary to specify the digital skills training program and digital transformation knowledge for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers; and to arrange specialized information technology staff in departments, branches, sectors, units and localities.
At the same time, strongly shift management thinking from "management" to "service"; apply tools to assess people and businesses' satisfaction to promote improvement of public service quality.
Strive for the digital economy to contribute 30% of the province's gross regional domestic product (GRDP), gradually turning Gia Lai into a regional digital technology industrial center.
