The document states that, in recent times, with the decisive involvement of the entire political system, the traffic safety situation in Lam Dong province has seen many positive changes.
Specifically, in the first eight months of 2025, traffic accidents in Lam Dong province decreased in all three criteria compared to the same period: the number of incidents decreased by 32.3% (563/832 incidents), the number of deaths decreased by 8.6% (277/303 deaths), and the number of injuries decreased by 37.7% (449/721 injuries).
However, violations of traffic safety regulations remain widespread on some routes and areas within the province, directly causing accidents.
Notably, through traffic surveillance cameras and direct recordings by citizens, many cases of official vehicles (with blue license plates) belonging to agencies and units in the province violating road traffic regulations have been recorded, with typical offenses such as: overtaking illegally, overtaking when not permitted... causing public outrage and affecting the reputation of state agencies.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province requested relevant units to strengthen propaganda and raise awareness among officials, civil servants, and armed forces personnel, promoting exemplary behavior when participating in traffic.
Strict measures will be taken against violators, especially those driving official vehicles who violate traffic safety regulations and misuse priority lights and sirens.
