The News Reporter won the A prize at the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism Awards.

In anticipation of the 99th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day (June 21st), on the afternoon of June 14th, the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province held a ceremony to summarize and present the first Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism Award of Thai Nguyen province - 2024. This is the first provincial-level journalism award in Thai Nguyen.

According to the organizers, despite being the first time it was held, the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism Award attracted a large number of journalists from media agencies at both the central and local levels.

The organizing committee received 172 entries in various categories, including: 37 print articles, 51 television programs, 28 radio programs, and 56 online articles. Participants included members of the Provincial Journalists Association, and reporters and editors from provincial media and propaganda agencies.

Notably, the award also attracted many works from authors and groups of authors belonging to central press agencies and representative offices of central press agencies located in the province.

Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai and Vice Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee Le Quang Tien presented the A prize to journalist Ha Cong Luan - representing the team of authors from Nguoi Dua Tin Magazine.

Overall, the submitted works were diverse in subject matter, comprehensively addressing political , economic, cultural, and social issues; focusing on vividly, objectively, and truthfully reflecting the achievements, exemplary models, and innovative approaches of Thai Nguyen province in implementing the resolutions of the Party congresses at all levels.

The works reflecting on Party building and the protection of the Party's ideological foundation are highly insightful and critical, drawing many valuable lessons and clearly demonstrating the leadership role of Party committees, branches, and members. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Quang Tien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Award Organizing Committee, stated that the great achievements that the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in Thai Nguyen province have attained over the past time have been significantly contributed to by central and local news agencies and press.

"Journalists, reporters, members, and media professionals are undeterred by difficulties and hardships, always closely following the pulse of life. From that, they create journalistic works that objectively, truthfully, and comprehensively reflect all aspects of socio -economic life," Mr. Tien said.

Mr. Le Quang Tien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Award Organizing Committee, delivered a speech at the ceremony.

According to Mr. Tien, the first Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism Award of Thai Nguyen province in 2024, with its recognition of outstanding winning works, once again affirms the contributions and support of journalists to the construction and development of Thai Nguyen province, making it increasingly prosperous, beautiful, and civilized, contributing to the successful achievement of the goals of the Resolution of the 20th Congress of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee.

On the occasion of the 99th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day on June 21st, Mr. Le Quang Tien sent his best wishes to journalists, reporters, and editors of press agencies in Thai Nguyen province and central press agencies in the locality.

Mr. Tien expressed his wish that journalists would always maintain their passion for the profession, continuing to dedicate their intellect and enthusiasm to the glorious revolutionary journalism cause of the Party and the nation.

The organizing committee awarded the first Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism Prize of Thai Nguyen province to 37 outstanding works in four journalistic categories (print, television, radio, and online). These included 4 A prizes, 7 B prizes, 11 C prizes, and 15 Consolation prizes.

The team of authors from Nguoi Dua Tin Magazine took a photo with the Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Thanh Hai.

Among the four A prizes, the Life and Law Magazine (Nguoi Dua Tin online magazine) won the A prize in the online journalism category with the work "Policies to promote sustainable development in Thai Nguyen" by the team of authors Ha Cong Luan, Hoang Thi Bich, Nguyen Thu Huyen, Le Manh Quoc, and Nguyen Hoa Tra.

With 5 articles, this series approaches the topic from various angles, giving readers a broader perspective on the policies and approaches that help Thai Nguyen fully utilize its potential as a destination for "eagles" (large investors), and achieve its goal of becoming an economic, cultural, educational, and medical center of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region .
