"My children are the same age as you. Today I come here as a parent, hoping you will study seriously to gain more useful knowledge.
The police officers did not come to have fun, but through this exchange session, they wanted to help the children better understand how to protect themselves, especially when making friends and using social networks," musician Nguyen Van Chung shared at the program "Not alone - Together online safety" with about 3,500 students of Nam Saigon Primary - Secondary - High School.
Musician Nguyen Van Chung believes that attitudes and behaviors on social networks are no different from real life. He emphasizes that without positive thinking, it is difficult to select positive content.
Social media is just an outer shell, and people should not lose themselves or live in that shell without truly understanding it.
From real family stories, the musician suggests that students should boldly share with teachers, parents or friends to find solutions and those are the original solutions instead of posting them on social networks.
"When you leave, think about who you trust the most, when you have the most difficulties and difficulties, who you want to share with? Not me, not someone on social networks, but your parents and teachers. If you understand this, you will definitely never be alone on social networks," the male musician shared.

Also at the program, runner-up Thuy Van shared that everyone needs to be careful and responsible with what they post on social networks. According to her, social networks should be considered as each person's "home" and need to be cared for and protected.
Behavior on the internet not only reflects personality but also greatly affects the future of each individual, so each person needs to think carefully before sharing anything.
Within the framework of the program, Captain Le Ngoc Khanh - reporter of the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention of Ho Chi Minh City Police - directly communicated to students about the rules of conduct in cyberspace.
Using familiar language and a lively Q&A format, the reporter helped students identify scams and "online kidnappings". At the same time, he equipped them with online safety skills and how to handle and report dangerous situations.

Mr. Trieu Tan Man (Vice Principal of Nam Sai Gon Primary - Secondary - High School) said that in the context of social networks containing many potential dangers and risks, the school pays special attention to propagating and disseminating legal education in many forms through homeroom teachers and especially propagating to parents to accompany the school to protect students.
"The school continuously updates and promptly warns of scam scenarios of bad guys, especially scenarios targeting students, to provide early information, helping students and parents to quickly identify, prevent and protect themselves," said Mr. Man.

According to Mr. Man, schools, families and society play a core role by creating a safe and loving environment, equipping students with life skills and early detecting risks that negatively impact students.
Previously, on October 21, Ho Chi Minh City Police coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to organize a program to launch the campaign "Not alone - Together online safety" at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (Cho Quan ward).
The launching ceremony was broadcast online to junior high schools, high schools, colleges, vocational schools... with about 1.9 million students participating.
The campaign aims to raise awareness among students and the community about the sophisticated tricks of online kidnapping criminals.
Equip children with skills to prevent, identify and respond to dangerous situations online. Build a sense of responsibility and solidarity, each young person knows how to protect themselves and be a "companion" to protect everyone.
