Remittances to celebrate Tet, happy spring reunion

At the end of the year, when the cold wind blows, it is also the time when Vietnamese people living far away start sending remittances back home.

For many families, the "money received" message sometimes means asking how their parents are doing, what they have prepared for Tet this year, and if it is as full as last year. Children living far away from home send money home for their mothers to repair the front porch, buy their fathers new clothes, prepare a New Year's Eve feast, or simply to ease the family's worries. That is the Tet gift they personally pack and send home amidst the hustle and bustle of work in a foreign land.

In the countryside, each time money is transferred, the family clearly feels the presence of their loved ones. Even though they are thousands of kilometers apart, the whole family still prepares for Tet together, wraps banh chung and plans to carry out the plans for the coming year. Tet is therefore not only a time for family reunion but also for silent sharing through each financial transaction.

Remittances during Tet are a way for Vietnamese people living far away to say "I'm still here", to keep their small home warm with both care and love, so that even though they cannot be together, the family still feels like they have each other in every moment of the new year.

Techcombank connects love from all over

Techcombank is currently an official agent of Western Union - a global money transfer network present in more than 200 countries. The sender only needs to go to the nearest Western Union transaction point to make the transaction. In Vietnam, the recipient can go to any Techcombank branch/transaction office to quickly receive money in USD or convert to VND as needed.

For SWIFT, the sender can transfer money online or offline from abroad to the Techcombank account of a relative in Vietnam with the SWIFT code: VTCBVNVX. On the recipient's side, if they do not have a foreign currency account, customers can receive money in VND transferred directly to a Techcombank payment account or go to the branch/transaction office - foreign currency exchange point with a preferential exchange rate of up to 90 points. If they already have a foreign currency account at Techcombank, customers can receive and sell foreign currency directly on Techcombank Mobile with competitive and transparent exchange rates, applicable to the respective currency and foreign currency account.

Techcombank waives 100% of fees for receiving money from abroad and remittances, applicable to all customers at branches/transaction offices and on Techcombank Mobile.
