In a rare move, Saga University in southwestern Japan has announced the establishment of a cosmetics training school in April next year, as Japan strives to improve the global competitiveness of its cosmetics industry, Kyodo News Agency and Vietnam News Agency reported.
The School of Cosmetic Science at Saga University will be the first of its kind among public and national universities.
The aim is to enable students to systematically study the chemical properties of cosmetic products and their effects on the skin, thereby promoting research, development and training of leading professionals in the industry.

Graduates are expected to pursue careers in cosmetics, chemical raw materials, food and beverage manufacturing companies.
