Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri was mobilized and appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Internal Affairs Commission.

According to VNA, on the morning of November 4, the Party Central Office held a ceremony to announce the Politburo 's decision on personnel work.

At the ceremony, General Secretary To Lam presented the decision to transfer, assign and appoint Mr. Le Minh Tri - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Party Committee Secretary, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court - to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Internal Affairs Committee.

Mr. Le Minh Tri was born in 1960, from Ho Chi Minh City. He has a bachelor's degree in public security and a bachelor's degree in law.

Mr. Tri is currently Secretary of the 13th Party Central Committee (from August 2024), member of the 12th and 13th Party Central Committees, and a National Assembly delegate of the 14th and 15th terms.

During his working career, Mr. Le Minh Tri held the position of Deputy Head of Security Staff, Ho Chi Minh City Police; Deputy Head of Department A12b, Ministry of Home Affairs, Secretary of Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (now Ministry of Public Security).

In April 1992, he was a seconded officer with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the security sector, Secretary of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; then he worked as Deputy Chief of the Office of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Chairman of the People's Committee of District 11, Chairman of the People's Committee of District 1, then Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

In April 2013, Mr. Tri held the position of Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission. In April 2016, he was elected by the National Assembly to hold the position of Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy.

Then, in August 2024, the National Assembly dismissed the position of Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy and elected Mr. Le Minh Tri to hold the position of Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court for the 2021-2026 term.

The Central Internal Affairs Commission currently has Mr. Phan Dinh Trac as its Head. Along with Mr. Le Minh Tri as its Standing Deputy Head, the Central Internal Affairs Commission also has Deputy Heads Vo Van Dung, Bui Van Nghiem, Le Hong Quang, Nguyen Thanh Hai, and Dang Van Dung.
