On the afternoon of May 23, at the Government Headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang received the Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam, Yamada Takio, before departing for Japan to attend the 28th Asia Future Conference from May 24-26.
During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister stated that the Prime Minister had shared with him the positive results and impressions from Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh 's trip to Japan from May 19-21 to attend the G7 Expanded Summit and work in Japan.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang highly appreciated the theme of the Asia Future Conference, "Leveraging Asia's Strengths to Confront Global Challenges," in the context of a complex and unpredictable international situation.
"Vietnam's participation in this year's Conference not only demonstrates Vietnam's deep interest in this Conference but also reflects Vietnam's desire and responsibility in addressing global and regional challenges, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the world," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
The Deputy Prime Minister also suggested that the two sides closely coordinate in organizing practical and meaningful activities in the coming period to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
Ambassador Yamada Takio affirmed that the recent visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to Japan and the upcoming visit of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang demonstrate the close relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
The ambassador said that Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio highly appreciated the results of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's recent visit to Japan, and expressed gratitude for Vietnam's support, especially for Japan's "Asian Zero-Emission Community" initiative.
In particular, the Ambassador affirmed Japan's readiness to stand alongside and cooperate closely with Vietnam in realizing its development goals by 2045.
During the meeting, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on measures to overcome specific difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of several ODA projects in Vietnam, and shared their respective concerns and aspirations in this area for the future.
